Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror." This 1922 classic of cinema based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula" (but with names changed) directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Max Schrek in one of films most famous and frightening make-up jobs.
In a remote Castilian village in 1940, a bright eight-year-old with a wonderfully fertile imagination struggles in the oppressively hive-like and spiritually empty home her bee-keeping father heads. When she befriends a wartime fugitive, she pictures him as a reincarnation of Boris Karloff's outcast monster in "Frankenstein" (USA/1931)--a film that profoundly affected her when it was projected in the town hall.
