Set in the 1970s, when a crime wave hit Rome's upper class homes, the story centers around Remo, a disillusioned cop. He leads a gang of criminals who go from petty crime to breaking and entering. The rich people they encounter are no better than themselves, in a Rome where corruption is rife. But Remo is having doubts, torn apart by the contradictions in his life. He considers plastic surgery, but cannot run away from his own conscience as easily as from his face.
