Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror." This 1922 classic of cinema based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula" (but with names changed) directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Max Schrek in one of films most famous and frightening make-up jobs.
The phanton was abandoned as a baby, and raised by rats living in the subterranean passages under the Paris Opera. Now an adult, he is in love with Christine, the understudy to the lead diva at the opera. Devoted both to Christine and to the rats he regards as family, he kills anyone who threatens either of them. But although Christine falls for him also, the lovers cannot be together.
