Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
Because of overcrowding at his mental hospital, a schizophrenic is released as an outpatient and told to stay away from emotional situations. He finds a room in a motel near the beach, but when he falls for the daughter of the motel's owner, the father confronts him with his past. This triggers the emotional response that was to be avoided and the consequences are murder.
