Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
Day anxiously awaits the arrival of her longtime sweetheart MacRae who has finished his stint in WWI. When he arrives, their marriage plans are delayed because MacRae insists on getting financially stable first. During the waiting period, a series of misunderderstandings create a brooding jealously between the two. But then in the end the tensions are resoloved and, as can be expected, the couple is happily united. (This is Doris Day, after all).
