Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
Set in the 1930's, the story follows Sebastian, the son of a wealthy Argentine family who has fled his home for the shelter of their estate in the pampas. His family sends his boyhood friend Juan to keep an eye on him. Sebastian's mood swings wildly because of a difficult relationship with the daughter of Danish immigrants. Juan also becomes interested in the woman and their relationship becomes more complex as Sebastian begins to suspect his friend is a spy.
