The Day After Trinity

A profile of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in producing the first atomic bomb. The film includes rare interviews with Manhattan Project scientists, and formerly classified footage of the first atomic detonation in the desert and of the atomic research facilities at Los Alamos, New Mexico. Also included is color footage of Oppenheimer and his team assembling the first bomb in 1945, as well as Japanese footage from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan.
