synopsis
In the late '60s, it would have been hard to find a rock star who didn't have Suzette or Vinnie on his arm or attached to his leg. The self-proclaimed belles of the rock 'n' roll ball rocked the worlds of every music legend whose pants they could take off--and they have the pictures to prove it. But it's been more than two decades since the 'Banger Sisters' earned their nickname--or even laid eyes on one another. Vinnie is now Lavinia--a prim, suburban mother, wife, and pillar of the community, more at home at a garden party than a mosh pit. Suzette is still her brassy self, with a few new tattoos and a remarkably increased bust line. When her world comes crashing down, she sets off in search of Vinnie, the one friend who might be able to rescue her.

Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon play ex-groupies who kept photos of the rock cocks they once sucked. Hot idea. Tepid execution.

Hawn has the juicier role as the free spirit and puts on a raunchy good show. Sarandon is stuck playing a tight-ass, living a lie as a society wife and mother. Writer-director Bob Doleman turns it all to marshmallow.

Story

The Banger Sisters is a piece of light fluff which gives you a chance to see what happened to those '60s and '70s groupies (so beautifully embellished in Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous) years after their rock and roll days are over. Does that uninhibited spirit ever really go away? For… Continued
