Ray, Mike and Butchie grew up on the mean streets of New Jersey. They rode their bikes together and played basketball together and saw (along with the entire neighborhood) Ray's dad get arrested for running a casino out of his garage. Ten years later, the humiliation of that hasn't escaped Ray. He's determined to make it big with his share of the American Dream. But he knows peddling shoes at the local store won't be his ticket out of Bloomfield. Instead, he opts for the fast track--playing the horses. As his gambling debts mount, he tests the limits of love and friendship on his downward descent.
