The four heroes and the Grand Master of the Knights Templar travel to Malta to return the lost treasure of the Snake Crown to its rightful owners, the Maltese Knights. Mathias is attracted to Elena, a beautiful and mysterious Maltese girl, and before they can bat an eye he has said too much, the crown is stolen and Mathias is kidnapped by an ancient order of priests. The protagonists now have to use all their guile and cunning to get the crown back and save their friend.
