In Unit 16b at Platypus Rise Flats Trude and Teesh, two hard and damaged women, live on a diet of soapies, sarcasm and frustration and are about to reach the breaking point. Over the course of a single day Teesh must deal with her misbehaving child Kenny and a surprise visit from her abusive, ex-con father, while Trude's ex-husband has just shown up with their two teenage children.
