As it turns out the premise for Swing Vote (which is fairly terrible, btw) was done by Popeye the Sailor Man back in… well, a long time ago. Costner evidently was played by Olive Oil first, I wonder if he studied up on her mannerisms. Here’s the video. As for the box office, I’m sad to say it’s all over for The Dark Knight. You had a nice two-week run fella, no hard feelings.
