synopsis
Each month free-spirited Sara Deever starts a new relationship. Her task is to take a month to make one man become a better person, and then she moves on. When November rolls around and Sara targets the busy tycoon, Nelson Moss, she does not plan on falling in love. But they do, and as a result, Nelson learns the painful secret behind the brevity of Sara's romances.

"Sweet November" ranks as another lifeless romance on the subject of death. It's also a remake, this time of a 1968 tear-jerker that starred Sandy Dennis as a cutie-pie eccentric who takes a new lover every month - Anthony Newley played November. She's dying, you see, and wants to rehabilitate as many workaholic males as possible before night falls. The trick is to get them to stop and smell the roses, and then move out gracefully when their month is up. Why anyone would want to revive this
What makes this film watchable is the undeniably sexy on-screen chemistry between Reeves and Theron, not to mention the fact that both are so darn pretty. Keanu is just Keanu -- he's fine, except for some moments where you think he's gonna break out in surferspeak à la "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure." Theron's performance as the happy-on-the-outside-but-troubled-on-the-inside Sara is convincing and even. Supporting actor Jason Isaacs ("The Patriot") as Sara's drag queen best friend is a bit
