Nana is an illegal immigrant from the former Soviet Union, who fails to fake her way onto a flight to the USA, but escapes from the officials at Vienna airport and into Austria. Without a destination in view, she wanders the country, meeting various people en route. Some, like a mountain lodge owner, are friendly while others are more threatening.
