Park yourself on the couch on Sunday, because no less than a dozen shows will premiere that night. In fact, with football season in full swing, there’s really no need to leave the house at all on Sunday.
ABC continues its dominant Sunday night tradition of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters. If you’re a girl and/or tend to cry over Hallmark commercials, ABC is the place for you.
Fox has its long-running animated lineup of The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Family Guy and American Dad. Fans include football fans who are too lazy to change the channel after NFL on Fox.
CBS will debut the 13th season of The Amazing Race, which probably doesn’t even need viewers anymore because it has so many damn Emmys. I think they’re going to start giving them away as prizes this year. Cold Case and The Unit will race after TAR‘s viewers starting in the 9 p.m. hour.
Showtime showcases its handsome devils with the one-two punch of Dexter and Californication.
NBC has Sunday Night Football.
