Batman Viral Marketing on April 1st

I spent my lunch hour staked out at Sunset Bowl here in Seattle, WA. My friend Brad (of RopeofSilicon) was all over AMF lanes. The call came at 1pm pst... West Seattle! What? We'd missed the location, and missed out by minutes.

What the heck am I talking about? Well, for those just joining us there was a fun little Dark Night viral promotion on Tuesday. It all started with the site ClownTravelAgency.com. Tuesday morning the site started spewing out addresses. And those addresses led to bowling balls stashed in lockers with a phone number to call. The locations ranged from Brazil to Austin, TX (some 28 in all).

Now, as I stated before, the West Seattle Bowl threw me for a loop and I missed out. But the long and short of the campaign was that after all the bowling balls were claimed this site popped up. If you entered your phone number in you received a call that sounded a bit like this:

Do I wish I'd gotten the ball? Yes. And if you're in the Seattle area and are looking to get a free drink/appetizer I'd love to see it. For everyone else... well at least we tried.
