After a gangland-style slaughter of a known drug kingpin associate and his family at their upscale suburban home outside Brussels, chief suspect Hubert Verkamen is hauled in for questioning. An old hand at this routine, the supremely contemptuous Verkamen easily deflects the cops' attempts to break him and soon begins to turn the tables on them.
