A coming-of-age tale centering around Tyson, Hector, and Bao, three young teens growing up in Boston's Fields Corner--an urban crossroads where poor African-American, Latino and Vietnamese neighborhoods meet. Their lives are closing in on them as the lure of the gang and drug money pulls them in one direction, while the promises of the youth center pulls them in another. Normal adolescent angst gives way to full-fledged psychosis when a drug deal goes bad and they find themselves running for their lives and facing an even more shaky reality.
