Somewhere in India, Raghu, a young Indian man, is in bed with his best friend, Maya, despite of the fact that he is to marry someone else the next day. Raghu does not want to get married. Maya offers him a way out -- a ticket to New York. A year later, somewhere in New Jersey, Nick has fallen in love with the Indian woman Raghu left behind. After his feelings of jealousy subside, Nick agrees to help the woman find her ex-fiancee, whom she still loves.
