Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
An old woman who has lived in the country all her life is forced to come to the city when her husband goes into the hospital. She moves in with her bad-tempered daughter, who is pregnant and whose married lover has left her. However while she visits her semi-unconscious husband she begins to think about her life with him, suddenly realizing the level of mental, verbal and physical abuse that he has been inflicting on herself and daughter for years. Little by little she begins to reclaim a life that she never realized was hers for the taking.
