synopsis
Ichabod Crane, a discredited professor is exiled to Sleepy Hollow because of his outrageous theories. Once there he learns of a local myth and uncovers a headless horseman, who has killed four people in search of a suitable replacement for his own missing head.

Even when the narrative stalls from too many detours and decapitations, Sleepy Hollow is gorgeous filmmaking that brims over with fun-house thrills and ravishing romance. Many writers will express dissatisfaction when one of their novels is turned into a movie.
