A futuristic metropolis. Hannah lives isolated in sky-high, self-sufficient apartment block which allows her to live and work in one compound. When she finally manages to escape her abusive husband, her friends help her move to an upper floor of their complex. Once there, she finds a new love in detective Hauks. But her new life soon starts to show some cracks its shiny veneer. She starts to suspect that she is being watched all the time and it appears that her ex-husband has completely disappeared. Even her lover and close friends start to behave strangely, particularly as evidence mounts that Hauks may be plotting against her. And to top it off, Hannah is also haunted by the story of hte woman who used to live in the apartment before her--until her rather unfortunate death whereby she mysteriously plummeted out the window to her death.
