Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
In Virginia during the Depression, a 99-year-old former slave visits the plantation where he once lived. There he meets the descendents of his former owner, who are by now next to penniless. When he informs them that he is about to die and would like to be buried on their land, they have to make decisions about whether or not to honor his request (although it is illegal) and care for him until the time of his death.
