After being declared missing in action when he inadvertently crossed the border, patriotic soldier Ranjit Singh finally returns home to his wife Pammi and his sister Simran, but not before undergoing trauma and torment as a prisoner. Even as he is recuperating in an army hospital, he sees a face every time he closes his eyes, only to reopen them in a state of confusion. Ranjit begins to remember what happened and the man who caused all his torment--Bhaktavar, a mercenary terrorist associated with traitors in India. Ranjit fights the enemy within himself and eventually takes revenge for the cruelties he suffered and the hardships his family had to face while he was in captivity. Pammi supports him and tries to recapture the glorious moments with her husband. Simran becomes caught in the emotional dilemma between supporting her brother and fulfilling her marital commitment to Ravi.
