Mike is a thirtysomething composer who wants to write symphonies but is stuck doing commercial jingles. Things start to look up for him when he meets a French girl, Sara and goes on holiday with her. However, the surprise appearance of his mother who walked out on his father 35 years ago provides another large bump in the road.
