Didier finds his life changed beyond recognition after falling out with his girlfriend and meeting a strange new girl, Aurelie. He gets increasingly paranoid when it seems all of Paris has read a review he wrote, criticising a film he never even saw, and to make matters worse, everywhere he turns he meets a writer he knows is better than he is. When he runs into Aurelie at a dinner party after being savaged by the host for his review, matters come to a head.
