An affectionate portrait of Surrealist artist and filmmaker Luis Bunuel as seen by his collaborators, friends and family. The film traces Bunuel's artistic career from his youth in Spain, where he attended Madrid's Student Residence in the 1920s, to his brief tenure at New York City's Museum of Modern Art in the 40's and following his later films, made in Spain and France, during the 60's and 70's.
