On this year's Musicology tour, forty-six-year-old Prince heeded the words a club owner gives "The Kid" (Prince) in 1984's Purple Rain: "Nobody digs your music but yourself." Thus Prince's return to jams such as "Take Me With U," forever linked to the sequence of sexy Apollonia on the back of the Kid's purple motorcycle. The gem of this double-disc set is a documentary on Minneapolis' First Avenue club, Prince's early proving ground.
