After witnessing his father's death in their country villa, young Giovanni makes his way alone to a Tuscan hospital, where the strange language he uses mystifies the psychiatrist and nurse who tend to him. Unsupported by the hospital in their efforts to help the boy, thee two are forced to break some rules in order to understand his condition.
