Barely escaping from her east-end Montreal apartment when it is savagely burned down by a vengeful motorcycle gang, the independently-minded Claire heads west in search of Billy, the man she loves and the only person she thinks can help her. She knows no one else and to make matters even more difficult she doesn't speak a word of English. Billy is nowhere to be found, but she soon meets the slinky, elegant Lily and the enigmatic Eddie, two associates involved in a dubious business transaction. When the deal turns ugly, Claire sets off into the heart of the city and continues her search for her lover, unaware of the circumstances unfolding around her and the unwitting role she now plays in Lily and Eddie's scheme.
