Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror." This 1922 classic of cinema based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula" (but with names changed) directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Max Schrek in one of films most famous and frightening make-up jobs.
Turn of the century immigrant tale of five women who settle in the western United States and earn their livings as prostitutes. Without any other opportunities, the women are forced into a hard life in a brothel. When one of them is murdered, the townspeople do nothing, and the women must mourn alone. The replacement, Katya, is from Germany and forms a bond with Irish Eileen. Ada is getting too old for the work, and her customers are deserting her for the younger Georgie. As things get worse for the woman, Katya becomes increasingly desperate.
