Numbers Don’t Lie

What a fitting title for this week’s Power of Veto competition don’t ya think? It’s all about the numbers baby.

Tonight’s show was ehhh. It’s always anti-climactic watching the non-Thursday shows because we know so much of what’s happened already because of the live feeds. I really wanted to watch tonight’s show because of the POV competition. I have to say that I was kinda let down.

Show Me the Bunny, Dump the Funk, $10,000 Cash, Sloppy Summer, Power Shortage, and Money Walks were the names of the 6 rounds within the POV competition. Dustin was eliminated in the first round, nobody in the second round, nobody in the third round, Zach in the fourth round, Daniele in the third round, and finally Jen won the POV by choosing to give up the maximum she what she could give up of her possible winnings ($250,000).

The bunny suits were (and still are) cute. We finally got to see why exactly Jameka was praying so fervently when the feeds came back on (she’d given up the right to compete in the next 5 HOH competitions). BTW, I absolutely loved the organ music with Jameka praying interrupted by Jen’s inquiries. hehe

We all pretty much know the rest of the episode. Dani and Jen meet up in HOH room where Dani tells Jen that Eric’s the brains behind everything. Dick and Jen call a truce in the BY and then go upstairs to the HOH where Dani’s at and continue the convo. Dick tells Jen that Eric is behind all of the scheming and needs to go. Dick then tells Jessica about Eric who then talks to Jen who then tells Jessica about this supposed ’21-year-old’ comment directed towards Jess. Jess gets pissed and talks to Jameka and Dustin about things and they tell her not to believe it.

Eric and Dick have their blowup in the backyard. Time for POV meeting. Jen uses the POV on herself. Dani says that Nick was falsely accused and set up by Eric so she’s going to put him up in Jen’s place.

Eric did complete his AP task when it came to talking to somebody about taking them to the final 2. America voted Jessica and he did it. Eric’s next task is: “Which houseguest should Eric flatter incessantly in order to ensure his safety in the house?” You know the drill. Go here to vote! I’m voting for Amber on this one.

One thing that did piss me off about tonight’s show was Dick’s diary room at the end of the show. He said in the DR that him, Daniele, Kail, and Jen were working towards keeping Kail in the house. No mention of Zach at all. Uh Dick, remember the sweet little bunny Zach who has sworn to do whatever you and your darling daughter wanted him to do? Remember how he was the first one to offer himself to the Donato cause? Remember that he did this before you combined the Donato power with the power of, well, Kail and Jen? I guess Zach’s not too important to you after all if he doesn’t even get a mention from you at a time like this in the diary room eh?

So now I hope that Zach votes for Kail to go home! Ha on you Dick.

Before I end this post, I have to take a moment. *HD takes a deep breath and steps onto the podium*

I would like to take this opportunity to thank CBS for their musical choices. I’m not talking about the organ music that’s played when Jameka is praying on the show. I’m not talking about the rock music when Dick’s spouting off on the show. I’m not talking about the Mission Impossible music when Eric’s working a task. I’m talking about the music during FOTH on the live feeds. Oh how I’ve missed the gentler and kinder to the ears music that used to accompany whatever happened to be occurring at the Front Of The House. The tilting of a bush. The gentle spraying of a gardener’s hose. And yes, sniff, even the exit of a hamster. *HD grabs a tissue*

When I heard that oh so familiar refrain upon entering my humble abode early this afternoon I believed something to be amiss. But blessed be thy CBS! So thrilled was I upon hearing those glorious notes that I bounded over to thine computer and turned thy sound UP! Ahhh the bliss experienced was divine. That is, until one of the hamsters’ voices came blaring through my speakers while I was in the middle of changing clothes and I had to run back over to my computer with my pants around my ankles to grab the remote control to turn the sound down. That part wasn’t blissful or graceful.

But really. Thank you CBS. I love hearing the old FOTH music. I hope you decide to keep it around for us.
