Trish Birchall and her family enjoy their home's quiet seclusion in its wooded surroundings. Her husband Joe, a radio journalist, often spends long hours and late nights working in the nearby city. With the company of their two lovely daughters, Trish feels secure in her remote environment. Her peace of mind is challenged when Joe announces the family must host, on short notice a friend's son, young Robert. That same evening, Joe works late reporting on a local family's multiple murder. Robert appears to be the perfect houseguest, charming and undemanding. But no good deed goes unpunished as soon he turns the Birchall's life into a living hell. Is this the visitor they expected or a psychopathic killer?
