Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror." This 1922 classic of cinema based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula" (but with names changed) directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Max Schrek in one of films most famous and frightening make-up jobs.
Rene is an obese 50-year-old man suffering from the degenerative muscle disease myopathy. He is disliked by everyone at the nursing home. So nobody is surprised when it falls upon the young new nurse, Julie to look after him. However, Rene's maliciousness simply melts away in the face of Julie's honesty and naivete. Rene, who has never opened up to anyone before, confides to Julie his most dearest wish, namely, to sleep with a woman at least once before it's too late. Feeling sorry for Rene, Julie procures him one of the prostitutes plying their trade in the caravans along the N7. He becomes a new man - nay - the sweetest man on earth, even. The other patients at the home are burning to find out what has happened, but Rene doesn't reveal the reason for his metamorphosis. When they finally do discover the reason for his mysterious, regular absences, things around the nursing home become a little more complicated...
