Moscow, or 'Moscou' in Flemish, is a densely populated working class neighborhood on the outskirts of Ghent, Belgium. One day, Matty--a 41 year old mother of three--gets into a mild fender bender with 29 year old trucker Johnny in a supermarket parking lot. The two share harsh words, but something about Matty's feisty spirit resonates with Johnny. A few days later, Johnny comes to the door with an offer to fix the dent in the trunk of Matty's car and suddenly sparks begin to fly between Matty and the much younger Johnny. Meanwhile, Matty's soon-to-be ex-husband Werner becomes jealous of this new relationship and sets about to win her back. He starts by telling Matty about Johnny's criminal record--news that shakes Matty's confidence in her new beau and causes her to strongly consider reuniting with her husband. That is until Johnny shows up, with a pair of elegant red shoes from Italy.
