12-year old Dennis P. lives together with his mother in Copenhagen. His father died during a stroke of madness: He fell down from the roof while he was dancing. Dennis' problems increase partly because his mother is totally exhausted. Dennis looks upon himself as a little ugly boy. He is hopelessly in love with Karen Elise who has a crush on his best friend Mick. Dennis' teacher is annoying him, he is not invited to a party with his class mates and above all, he is missing his father. Dennis wants control of his life. In desperation, he asks God for help, and he gets an answer. To fulfill his dreams, Dennis must comply with some rules.
