In a dream-like Mediteranean landscape, summer vacationers rub elbows with sailors from an American naval base who drive around in 1960's Caddies and tap-dance through the mess hall. 15 year old petty thief Orso meets Marie, a 14 year old who spends her time entertaining the American sailors. They come together only to be separated by a cruel fate.
