A young German named Jan travels to Italy in order to marry his German-Italian bride Sara. However, Jan's first encounter with her family turns into a nightmare when Sara's father, Antonio, demands that the wedding take place in southern Italy--and he won't take no for an answer. As everyone travels to Campobello to make all the preparations, Jan starts to wonder if Sara and her family are really the right ones for him.
