In the fall of 1964, in Arctic Canada, an Inuit Eskimo meets with the leader of a stranded army mapping team to go over his maps. To his surprise, the Inuit sees that the map is the same one he helped to make thirty years earlier, and he begins to tell the story behind the maps and the love of his life.
