synopsis
In the '90s, a massive body of literature on the reconstruction of guerrilla history and the subsequent massacre was produced, a much-needed research that had its parallel in film. Testimonial reassessment, however, brought about a new paradigm glorifying the unfulfilled and, therefore, untarnished utopia. By adding his story to those already around, Nicolas Prividera trespasses and criticizes official history. He does so by means of an in-depth analysis and cross-questioning, with a true researcher's tenacity. It's the story of his own mother, biologist Marta Sierra, who worked for the INTA until she was kidnapped in March, 1976. Nicolas explores Marta's possible contacts with guerrilla group Montoneros and, through interviews and field trips, he senses a web of silence evoking selfish, mistaken, cowardly, even treacherous attitudes. All of these swept under the carpet of the "higher enemy," whose ramifications reach to the present.
