As a child, Raquel never understood why everyone was always talking about love. Now in her early thirties, she works nights as a radio journalist and she is in love with Tomas, a professional athlete. While they are happy, they do not see each other very much because of their busy schedules. To try to rectify this problem, they decide to move in together. Everything seems to be going fine until Tomas gets injured at a training session, landing him in hospital. His prognosis is bad--he requires an urgent liver transplant. Ready to do anything for him, Raquel takes tests to see if her liver is compatible. Tomas refuses to engage her on the topic. Confronted with Tomas’ deteriorating condition, Raquel begins to question her feelings. Filled with growing doubt, she starts to spend time with the technical manager at the radio station. By chance, she also discovers that Tomas had a former double life that she knew nothing about.
