Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
In 1997, Canadian singer/songwriter Sarah McLachlan set up the travelling music festival Lilith Fair, to disprove concert promoters who thought all-female bills were commercial suicide. Derided by much of the popular music press and dismissed as 'Lesbopoolooza', it was nonetheless a success. This film documents the third and final year of the concert. This is almost entirely a musical affair, and with rousing performances by The Pretenders, Liz Phair, Beth Orton, Sheryl Crow, the Dixie Chicks and of course McLachlan herself, a huge pleasure awaits fans.
