Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror." This 1922 classic of cinema based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula" (but with names changed) directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Max Schrek in one of films most famous and frightening make-up jobs.
In a small fishing port, a young woman still lives with her two sons, Daniel and Samuel. Ten years ago, when the Mother was pregnant with the younger boy, her husband left one morning at dawn, supposedly on a fishing-boat, and never returned. A boat did disappear that day, but since no trace was ever found of a ship-wreck or bodies, the three members of the family keep hoping that the missing man will return. Every night, as a sign, the Mother lights a candle in the window.
