Roberto is a freelance musician who has been hired by an aristocrat to put together a band to play classical music at his New Year's party. He assembles a rag tag ensemble including very pregnant Therese, kleptomaniac Lionel and a mysterious clarinetist with a secret. As they rehearse in the chateau, the group learns more about each other and prepares for the big event.
