Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
John, a career criminal in his early fifties, is serving time in Vestre Faengsel. His son is getting married and he is legally entitled to attend the wedding escorted by a prison officer. The officer, a moonfaced fellow with a provincial background, has made a favorable impression on the warden. Going through Copenhagen's seedy Vesterbro borough, where John has a number of hidden agendas to attend to, the two men are stripped down mentally. Step by step, the supposedly normal one of the two is actually far from it, and the other may not be such a bad character after all.
