Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
Freelance private detective Gabriel Lecouvreur, aka the Octopus, investigates a gruesome series of murders in a French harbor town. Cheryl's parents' graves have been desecrated, and investigating this crime leads the couple to all sorts of quirky characters and suspects. There is a corpse in S&M gear, a racist Front National member, local prostitutes, dwarves, a drunken Scottish writer and a Spanish accomplice. And Cheryl herself has a sexual appetite that could keep Gabriel permanently occupied.
