Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror." This 1922 classic of cinema based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula" (but with names changed) directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Max Schrek in one of films most famous and frightening make-up jobs.
A rags-to-riches comedy centering on Eddie, a drifter hired by Victor, a Sentier patriarch and wholesale fabric dealer. Victor mistakenly thinks Eddie is a fellow Jew, and the latter has enough chutzpah to keep quiet about his origins. Soon the once-shiftless Eddie shows a knack for business and rises through the ranks from stockroom boy to salesman. In the process, he earns the friendship of a quartet of young Sentier hustlers who take him out to the deafeningly loud restaurants and discos frequented by their kith and kin.
