Xiao Shuai pursues the woman he loves, An Hong, all around Beijing. He wants to discover where she lives, but she could care less about him. After a while, An is so impressed with Xiao's efforts that she invites him in for a quickie, but they are interrupted by her boyfriend. The second section of the story introduces an elderly researcher, Lao Zhang, whose laptop computer is broken when he comes across Xiao being beaten by An's boyfriend, a wealthy nightclub owner. Lao demands his computer be replaced, but Xiao can only think about revenge against his rival. Eventually, Lao sets up a meeting in a restaurant so the matter can come to a conclusion.
