In the Saga court house, a murder trial opens. Evidence is heard about the events leading up to the murder that occurred at Kasasagi mental hospital. Yuki, a junior high school student is raped by her stepfather. Distraught by the experience, she isolates herself from the people around her. She stops attending school and her parents force her to seek help at a mental hospital. It is here, through the friendships she develops with other patients, that Yuki again begins to adopt a brighter outlook on life. At the hospital sometimes the relationships between the patients are stronger and more genuine than with their families outside. But Yuki's recovery ends when she is raped once again, this time by Shigemune, a drug addict who is a patient at the hospital. Yuki's pain is so great that she stops coming to the hospital. Once again she must try to rebuild her shattered existence. Yuki needs help and it is Hidemaru, another patient at the hospital, who decides to provide it in his own way.
