Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror." This 1922 classic of cinema based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula" (but with names changed) directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Max Schrek in one of films most famous and frightening make-up jobs.
Based on her experiences as the first Asian-American to star in her own sitcom--All American Girl--this is a performance documentary which chronicles Margaret Cho's meteoric rise to fame and her near fatal demise after the cancellation of her groundbreaking series. After ABC's abrupt cancellation of the show, Cho descended into a highly publicized bout of depression and drug/alcohol addiction, while continuing to perform as a stand-up comedian for thousands of fans in top comedy clubs and on college campuses. Today, Margaret has emerged clean, sober and more confident than ever. Her own experiences in Hollywood, her relationship with her mother and her struggles with her own personal demons became the raw material for her solo show, "I'm the One That I Want" upon which this chronicle is based.
